Lions back in London for the Brand New Land of Lions project thanks to CLD Fencing Systems Lion Enclosure.
CLD Fencing Systems has just completed the manufacturing and supply of its Dulok Double Wire Mesh Zoo Fencing System, with its special Lion Posts, for the new ZSL London Zoo Lion Enclosure for the Land of Lions project. The new enclosure is expected to open on Friday 25th March 2016 and will feature 141 linear meters of CLD Fencing throughout the enclosure.
CLD’s fencing range has previously been used at both Chester Zoo and Folly Farm on big cat enclosures and was used on the new Polar Bear Enclosure, the first of its kind at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. CLD Fencing Systems is fast becoming the market leader in Enclosure and Exhibition Zoo Fencing and the inclusion of the Dulok Zoo Fencing System at ZSL London Zoo Lion Enclosure is another step forward in the area.
Rick Woodcock; Senior Sales Executive for CLD Fencing Systems said “Supplying our fencing systems for such a majestic creature as the pride of endangered Asiatic Lions is a real privilege. We have developed the whole fencing system to offer safety and security for both the Lions and the Visitors; whilst at the same time offer a view that is as unrestricted as we can make it.”
Visitors to the £5.2million enclosure will be able to explore though a park filled with rickshaws; rangers’ huts and even a life-size truck inspired by the designers’ trip to the Gujarat State in India where the Pride of Lion’s hail from. The Land of Lions is the first time in 2 years that London will have had Lions in its Zoo and the enclosure boasts state of the art facilities for breeding to help try and boost the number of Asiatic Lions in the world from its current total of 400.
