As part of the Alliance H5O framework for South West Water, Interserve needed to supply a new secure Physical Perimeter for the Lords Meadow Waste Water Treatment Works in Crediton, Devon. The site is one of many operated by South West Water to treat over 600,000 tonnes of sewage every day across Devon and Cornwall.
Since 2010, this work has been undertaken by an Alliance comprising of their own Engineers and support staff working in partnership with construction companies and design consultants. Alliance H5O is made up of SWW main partners consisting of Interserve Project Services, Balfour Beatty, Pell Frischmann and Hyder. However, because of the wide and diverse range of projects to be delivered, H5O also involves many specialist and smaller local contractors.
All staff in H5O work as part of a single entity but with different teams focused on non-infrastructure assets (i.e. treatment works, pumping stations and service reservoirs), infrastructure assets (i.e. clean water pipes and sewer pipes) and reactive work. Other teams plan the work, liaise with South West Waters many customers and businesses affected by the work they do and deal with the commercial aspects of project delivery.
The project required a number of Rigid Mesh Fencing Systems and Security Gates to be manufactured and supplied to complete the project. All of them delivered direct to the site.
